Senior Stroll: Corte Madera Creek

Directions: Meet at Niven Park. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west .2 miles. Turn left at the first streetlight onto Barry Way. Turn left onto Drakes Landing Rd. Niven Park is on the corner of Barry Way and Drakes Landing Rd.

The pathway that runs along the lower reaches of Corte Madera Creek can be a fabulous place to get close looks at a variety of shorebirds and waterfowl, plus there are usually land birds to be found in the bushes and trees. We'll go for a slow walk along this paved, level path, taking advantage of the benches along the way as we discuss the Corte Madera Creek watershed and its ecological importance. Remember to bring binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.
