Marin Webstars

The WebStar Program is designed to empower young people through computer training, opportunities to work with the public in a library setting and participation in internship programs with local technology companies. The WebStar Program is also designed to reach out to the community's non-profit agencies to provide support in accessing information and building up the Community Network. The Community Network is the existing community of people and agencies working to build a more prosperous Marin City.

Marin City Community Services District

The municipal authority for Marin City is the Marin City Community Services District , a multi-purpose California special district that is governed by a publicly-elected five-member board of directors. The Districts programs are administered by staff. The District seeks to lead the community into the future concert with its residents,community-based organizations and faith-based leadership.

Marin City Library

The Marin City Library recognizes that school libraries provide an essential role in the learning and teaching of our community's youngest minds. Our library has partnered with the Sausalito Marin City School District (SMCSD) to support the planning and coordinating of the school library services for both school campuses. The MC Library and SMCSD are fully committed to providing equitable educational instruction and access to resources enabling all SMCSD students to develop the necessary skills to be successful in the 21st Century and beyond.

The Lab

The Lab is a makerspace, creator-space, hackerspace, coding-space, gaming-space, idea-space, and much more. Our goal is to inspire creativity, entrepreneurship, design, play, mentorship, and collaboration.

We offer free access to resources and technology for all library patrons. The Lab is open to all ages and skill levels, and is most suited to ages 8 and up, depending on the equipment. Patrons will receive training in order to use the equipment.
