Fire Safe Marin's Community Ambassadors will be available on Saturday, August 15th supporting local contractors, DIYers and residents at Jackson's Hardware's during their special tools & BBQ demo week. On Saturday, knowledgeable Ambassadors will offer the community an opportunity to ask questions and get answers about wildfire preparedness. Adapting to wildfire means being prepared. Literature available in English & Spanish and will include topics such as: AlertMarin Signups / Registro en AlertMarin, evacuation go-bag / bolsa de evacuación, fire weather & home protection / clima y protección del hogar as well as fire-smart yards & defensible space / jardines resistentes a incendios.
Fire Safe Marin is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a fire-adapted community in Marin County. FSM provides educational programs, resources, and expertise to help residents, neighborhoods, and stakeholders prepare for wildfire and reduce fire hazards.
