Certified Green: Marin Businesses
Taking Climate Action (And You Can Too!)
Marin business owners, here is something worth knowing. The Marin Green Business Program helps local businesses go green, save money, and earn real recognition from the County of Marin, with over 400 certified since 2002. So how does a business become Certified Green?
It works with free county coordinators to review daily practices, energy, waste, and water. Then it makes changes that meet state standards and cut emissions. The business then earns certification and a spot in the CA Green directory, where shoppers can find it.
Climate change is not waiting, and neither are customers who want to support businesses doing right. Learn more on September 8 at Marin Green Drinks in San Rafael, hosted by Lotus Cuisine of India, a certified green business itself.
RSVP now to learn:
• How Marin businesses can adopt effective green business practices that save resources, reduce emissions, and support long‑term climate action goals, whether it’s a retail shop, hotel, restaurant, or home-based business.
• What it takes for a business to become Certified Green, and why third-party certification actually matters.
• How to “shop green” using the CA Green Business Network directory.
