Directions:

Meet at the snack bar in McNears Beach Park in San Rafael (201 Cantera Way). From Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the Central San Rafael exit east. Take 2nd St east, which merges into 3rd St, and then turns into Point San Pedro Rd. Follow Point San Pedro Rd for 3.6 miles, turn right at Cantera Way, and follow to the large parking lot at the end.

On Saturday April 26th from 12-3 pm, interns from the San Geronimo Valley Community Center’s NextGen Greenstitch Climate Action Interns are hosting a celebration of our earth. The free event includes: Live music, aerial performances, climate action and awareness booths, delicious food, and an art show featuring art by Judith Selby Land and Richard Land and “Stewards of the Land” exhibit.

Meet at the Skate Park at McInnis Park in San Rafael (310 Smith Ranch Rd). From Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the Smith Ranch Rd exit east approximately 0.7 miles. Drive over the railroad tracks and immediately turn left to stay on Smith Ranch Rd. (If you go through the park entrance, you have gone too far). Look for the sign for the Skate Park, turn right, and follow the road to the parking lot.

This year’s family-friendly Earth Day celebration will kick off at Zelinsky Park with live music and fun hands-on activities. Create your own unique ‘Pledge for the Planet’ with Tiburon’s Heritage & Arts Commission to assemble among others in the community. A lively non-motorized parade will commence at 11 a.m. along Tiburon Boulevard downtown to the Angel Island Ferry Deck where local environmentally minded groups like the Marine Mammal Center, Green Team, Richardson Bay Regional Agency, Belvedere-Tiburon Library, and more will be providing exciting ways to learn how to protect our planet.
