Fire Safe Marin will be participating through the Community Ambassador Program at the 47th Annual Fairfax Festival - a weekend of music, arts, and fun! Fire Safe Marin invites residents to visit the Community Ambassadors on either Saturday 6/13 or Sunday 6/14. FSM will be located in the Family Fun on the Ballfield area. Ambassadors will be available to educate about the dangers of wildfire and what we all can do to help save lives, protect homes, and create a resilient environment.

Fire Safe Marin will be participating through the Community Ambassador Program at this free event in Point Reyes. Residents can get help from County staff at these monthly events hosted by County of Marin / District 4 / Supervisor Dennis Rodoni. In June, Fire Safe Marin's Community Ambassadors will be available to answer questions about wildfire prevention & preparedness.
Directions: Meet at the gate to Loma Alta Fire Rd on Lucas Valley Rd in San Rafael. From Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the exit for Lucas Valley Rd west approximately 5.5 miles. Look for the big rock and roadside parking. The gate is on the south side (or left) of Lucas Valley Rd. Do not turn around at the top of the hill. Continue past the trailhead and turn around in the large driveway on the right.

Local favorite,Shana Morrison, is returning to Sweetwater's stage on Sunday, June 7th.

Shana's musical style has been called pop with a side of blues and a side of rock, but she has never shied away from other ingredients, like country, R&B, and jazz into the mix. The daughter of legendary Northern Irish musician Van Morrison, Shana has toured internationally, including numerous concert dates with her father, and has shared billing with the likes of Peter Frampton, Bonnie Raitt, and John Lee Hooker.

Fire Safe Marin will be participating on Sunday, June 7th through the Community Ambassador Program at the two day 2026 Western Weekend in Point Reyes. The two day event will include a parade on Sunday starting at 12:00 pm. FSM invites the community to connect directly with our Ambassadors and ask questions about wildfire preparedness.
Fire Safe Marin is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a fire-adapted community in Marin County. FSM provides educational programs, resources, and expertise to help residents, neighborhoods, and stakeholders prepare for wildfire and reduce fire hazards.
