The Central Marin Neighborhood Response Group (NRG) and CERT Quarterly Leadership Meeting brings together volunteer leaders, CERT members, and Central Marin Fire staff to strengthen community preparedness through collaboration, information sharing, and coordinated planning. Participants will receive updates on upcoming outreach events, training opportunities, exercises, and volunteer initiatives while discussing current preparedness priorities affecting Central Marin communities.

An informational community event “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” presented by the Lower Chapman Park Neighborhood Response Group.
The event will be held Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Corte Madera Recreation Center on Tamalpais.

Outreach to discuss and introduce... During a major earthquake, Marin’s first responders will be overwhelmed. Residents should therefore be prepared to help one another for at least five to seven days following a disaster.

Thoughtful Thursdays are drop-in hands-on programs aimed at students entering kindergarten through 3rd grade.  All materials provided, no registration necessary. This Thursday, we'll be reading Flying Free and designing our airplanes like the ones Bessie Coleman flew.  We'll have all sorts of paper and some books to get started, and we'll fly them all over! Try-It Tuesdays are drop-in hands-on programs aimed at students entering 4th through 8th grade.  All materials provided, no registration necessary. This Tuesday, we'll be learning all about corn!  While we read The Secret Garden of George Washington Carver, we're going to try to make tortillas from scratch in the library!  I make no promises about how they'll turn out, but we'll all learn something fun.  Please do not attend if allergic to corn.  Thank you!
